Thanks for all your efforts. I've switched to passive mode, but I'm still getting empty folders, 0 uploads etc. It has just taken me about two dozen attempts to upload the updates to one of my websites. The thing that puzzles me is that this never happened at all until very recently (I've made no changes to my PC, broadband connection, server).
