Highlighted all local files but upload is shaded in box

This is my first experience with Filezilla. I found a video with step by step instructions. I believe I have done everything right. I have all of the local files highlighted and when I right click on them the only thing options highlighted are "refresh" and "create directory". I have also tried to drag the files and can't.

What am I missing?
