Hi All,
I have been using filezilla only for about 6 months or so, and I have uploaded 2 websites to date to two different hosts.
I am currently working on a 3rd website and have uploaded most of it to a new host using filezilla 2 days ago.
Since yesterday I have been trying to re-connect to same server to upload additional files, and revisions but I keep getting
the following error message.....
530 Error - Cannot connect to a server to upload by FTP
I am on a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.
I am using wireless modem Huawei E585....don't know if that makes a big difference?
I have tried alternatively to use Windows IIS, Bitkinex but same failure.
I have tried with Windows Firewall completely turned off but same failure.
I have downloaded and installed Filezilla server in addition to Filezilla Client, but am I not really sure where to begin with the Filezilla server.
I am not very experienced with FTP and IPP issues, I am a designer, not a technical expert really.
I have looked at many forums and read as much advice as possible and tried to follow the advice as best I can,
but I have had no success, trying many different settings for the filezilla connection etc.
I am a little tied up in knots at this stage.
Can anyone help me work through this, it would be much appreciated...
The website I am trying to upload is at ftp://enfieldps.ie, and the username is: enfieldftp password: I have correct password
I do not have full access to the host server for website, only FTP access.
The server administrator has been able to connect using above details this morning without problem,
so it seems to be something at my end..
