My sysadmin hasn't got back to me yet. However, in looking at various system info, the 2 servers were created within a few weeks of each other, are both running RHEL at level 2.6.18-274.17.1.el5. Could they both be running the same version of the os and one not support MLSD?
I did debugging on the filezilla connection and after connecting, when it does the commands to calculate the timezone offset of server, it seems to be doing an 'mtime' command - on a file on one server and on a directory on the other -- and comming up with one server showing a difference of 3600 seconds. I also told the debug to show the 'raw directory' listing and the timestamps shown in the listing on the 2 servers are the same and correct, so not sure how/why mtime gives something different on the one server.
