I was concvinced that wouldn't work as it was one of the first things I checked when I compared the two sites and how they opened. However, I HAVE learned to not ignore advice when it was given, so I added a / after it (no connection), deleted the leading / (no connection), put the leading slash back, and guiess what? Yup, it worked as expected!
Apparently there must have been some sort or corruption beause I ended up with exactly what I started with, except it now worked as expected!
I think the refusal to connect was due to the latest version of FZ: Previously the connections always worked, just not as expected. FileZilla wins again!
