I am using No-IP instead of getting a static IP. I would like to configure my home office desktop to host the FileZilla Server and use the Cleitn on my various laptops from outside to get to the shared FTP drive.
I have installed the Server software on the desktop and made these setting changes:
1) Settings > Passive mode settings > Retrieve external IP address from: "ftp://.....no-ip.biz"
2) Created a User & group with password.
3) Added a shared folder directory.
4) I have forwarded Port 14147 & 21 (TCP) on the AT&T 2wire router
On the client side (laptop from outside on different wifi) I have installed the client software and done the following:
1) entered host ""ftp://.....no-ip.biz"
2) entered user name & password
What I get is the following:
Status: Resolving address of monument.no-ip.biz
Status: Connecting to "IP..."
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
What am I missing or doing wrong?
