connection problem

I am trying to connect to a ftp site for work. I keep getting a "connection timed out" error followed by "could not connect to server"

I have tried the network configuration wizard and it passed. I have also tried SecureFTP-Test.com and connected no problem.

the instructions I have to connect to my work server is to input the IP address, name, password and port 22, none of my tests use a port number so I am guessing that is the problem I have to solve.

I have tried turning off windows firewall but that did not help

My brother can connect from his computer which is on the same network so I don't believe it's a router problem.

Any suggestions?
