We must get the terms right first.
Please note that while browsers can download from FTP servers natively, uploading is not possible. There are a few ways to get around that, though.
1. Write a basic FTP client (PHP, JS or the like) dealing with the FTP server.
2. Use a Java or Flash applet (not recommended security-wise).
3. Some FTP servers offer their own implementation using the HTTPS protocol.
