boco, i disconnected the firewall anyway it was me id not chaned the default timeout on filezilla from 120 seconds all is good now.
But i have one more question if i log on remotely from another pc which i have set up a user account and password for in the host connection in filezilla, im right to assume i use my wan ip address in the host and the port number which is set at 14147 from me at least and then just configure there router by opening the ports say from 1000- 6000. log on to my server should this be right then.
