According to your post, I'm assuming Windows as OS.
I didn't test it, but you should try entering the full UNC path of the share into the ''Local site'' pathbox above the filelist+treeview, e. g.
\\server\sharename

I've read posts here that suggest changing settings in Administrative Tools / services. When I look
at the list of services I don't see any for Filezilla, FLZ or FTP or anything similar. Yet I am able to connect to my web host and transfer files from the system where Filezilla is installed so I know that Filezilla is a working service.
I looked at the services list when Filezilla was open and when it was closed, but this made no difference.
Forget these posts, they are all for FileZilla Server. FileZilla (Client) doesn't have a service, it runs as a standard application.at the list of services I don't see any for Filezilla, FLZ or FTP or anything similar.
